On day 9 in the village of Tembak, the Eco-Warriors met Jojo, the first orangutan to be brought back to Sintang. We will build the new animal center in this village where we got 3000 hectares of virgin forest where we can release orangutans. So Jojo is soon to return to Tembak in much better condition. The Chief of Police Colonel Firley who handed Jojo over to the Kobus Foundation, joined us for the webinar and talked to the eco-warriors who asked him lots of questions. The newly formed rescue team of Liza, Ben and Perry, a trained veterinary technician, got to work settling Jojo into her new environment. Jojo trusted Ben, but when left alone she cried so Ben and Lisa spent the night with her. By the morning, she was happily playing and adjusting to her new home and many friends, supporters and admirers. She attended her first webinar and seemed very at ease with all the attention. Jojo is already a star!
